The KPE is mostly underground - like driving through a very long tunnel. Air-con feeling! Perfect for rainy days because you stay dry.

The Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) opens up a fast-track corridor from the city to the north-eastern towns of Sengkang and Punggol. A significant portion of the expressway is underground, including the 9km KPE tunnel which was once the grandest such tunnel in Southeast Asia.

Running parallel to the Kallang River for stretches, the KPE offers vital connectivity to sports hubs like the Singapore Sports Hub and residential growth areas in the North-East. It is engineered for efficiency, greatly reducing travel time for residents in Punggol and Pasir Ris commuting to the city.
